General questions about the TU Wesley Foundation.
Is Wesley for Methodists only? |
No. We have students and staff from all different backgrounds. |
How is the Wesley Foundation Funded? |
Wesley is funded partially by the United Methodist Church and partially by donations from individuals (parents, alumni, local church groups, fundraisers). |
What is the Wesley Student Council? |
The student council is a group of students who volunteer each semester to plan Wesley activities. Our activities change each semester according to what the students choose to do. There are five committees within the council to help run our main programs: worship, FNL, publicity, intramurals and community service. To be on council you must be involved at Wesley for a semester, doing well academically, believe that Jesus is your Savior and Lord, and desire to make Jesus known on the TU campus. |
What can I do besides Student Council? |
There are many ways to get involved at Wesley. We offer a variety of small groups every semester, like Bible studies, C.S. Lewis reading group, and late night Bible study. We also have worship, intramurals, parties, Friday Noon Lunch, missions trips, and community service. You do not have to be on Council to help with or attend any of these activities. |
When is the building open? |
Most activities occur in the late afternoon or evening. Our office manager is here late mornings to late afternoons. Students who are on Council have their own keys, so the building is often open at other times. |
Why is it called the Wesley Foundation? |
It is named after John Wesley, a founder of the Methodist church. |
