Mortar Board
    Mission
    Mortar Board, Inc., a national honor society that recognizes college seniors for their achievements in scholarship, leadership and service, provides opportunities for continued leadership development, promotes service to colleges and universities and encourages lifelong contributions to the global community.
    (Adopted July 1994)

    National Project
    A National Project was established in 1985. The National Project has promoted many issues through activities on campus and in the community. At the 2002 Mortar Board National Conference, "Reading is Leading" was made the permanent National Project. Some past issues addressed through the National Project include: organ donor awareness, AIDS awareness, women's issues and children's issues.
