In 2003, the Higher Eduction Cultural Roundtable initiated a program to fund K-12 "mini-grants" for school-related arts and humanities projects. The membership feels strongly that special cultural activities must continue to be a part of the students' curriculum, even in times of financial difficulty.
2005 Mini-Grant Awards were presented to 17 recepients at a ceremony and reception on April 21 at Langston University-Tulsa.
